When you have finished with your library materials, they can be dropped off at the Circulation Desk inside the library. You can also use the convenient outside book drops both during and after library hours. 

You can return any materials that belong to a Black Gold Cooperative member library to any of the Goleta & Santa Ynez Valley Libraries. Black Gold Cooperative member libraries include: Goleta & Santa Ynez Valley Libraries, Paso Robles City Library, Santa Maria Public Library, Lompoc Public Library System, Blanchard Community Library, and Carpinteria Community Library. Library materials belonging to the Santa Barbara Public Library and San Luis Obispo Library systems may not be returned at the Goleta & Santa Ynez Valley Libraries.

As of July 1st, 2021 the Goleta & Santa Ynez Valley Libraries no longer charge late fines for overdue library materials.

Please contact the library to speak with a staff member about the lost item. A Replacement Fee will be applied to your library account based on the kind of item that was lost. Fees for all library materials are available here.
